Ubicada en la entrada del Hotel Hércules en Querétaro, Taberna Hércules recupera la memoria de un lugar que fue tienda de raya, espacio vital donde convergía la vida trabajadora del complejo.

Lo que en 2022 fue concebido como comedor se transformó en un proyecto que reúne música, comida, conversaciones y cerveza. El diseño dialoga con la historia arquitectónica del sitio. Los muros muestran las capas del tiempo; los arcos enmarcan los dos ambientes interiores de encuentro. Una barra de madera robusta enmarca el espacio junto a llaves de cerveza artesanal. Los pisos cerámicos en tono rojo quemado definen el carácter del lugar, reflejando una paleta cromática que dialoga con la identidad del complejo y genera una atmósfera donde lo histórico coexiste con lo contemporáneo. El mobiliario, inspirado en la estética mid-century, fue diseñado expresamente para este proyecto, aprovechando al máximo la geometría del espacio y generando un ambiente acogedor donde cada elemento contribuye a la narrativa histórica.

Located at the entrance to Hotel Hércules in Querétaro, Taberna Hércules revives the memory of a building that once served as the tienda de raya, the company store that functioned as a social and commercial hub for the workers of the industrial complex.

Originally conceived as a dining room in 2022, the space has since evolved into a lively venue that brings together music, food, conversation, and craft beer.The design engages in dialogue with the site's architectural history. Exposed walls reveal layers of time, while the original arches frame two distinct yet interconnected gathering spaces. A substantial timber bar anchors the interior alongside a row of craft beer taps. Ceramic flooring in terracotta and burgundy tones defines the character of the space, reflecting a colour palette that resonates with the identity of the Hércules complex while creating an atmosphere where historical character coexists with contemporary use. Inspired by mid-century design, the custom-made furniture was developed specifically for the project, making the most of the building's geometry and creating a warm, welcoming environment in which every element contributes to the site's evolving narrative.
